Movement Evaluation
Get Empowered
Maintaining strength, balance, and safe movement is an important part of staying active and independent as you age.
There are over 3 million emergency room visits for fall-related injuries each year, among patients age 65 or older (CDC).
While falls become more common with age, losing strength and balance doesn’t have to be inevitable. You can take proactive steps to maintain safe movement as you age.
Integracare’s Empowered Movement Evaluation helps identify opportunities to improve your strength, balance, and stability through one-on-one guidance from a licensed professional.
What is an Empowered Movement Evaluation?
Ask your provider about seeing our physical therapists for this program to get ahead of declining strength before a fall occurs. Exercise programs improve strength, endurance, and body mechanics, showing a significant reduction in falls.
Empowered Senior Movement Evaluation includes:
- Fall Risk Assessment based on your general level of health and activity
- Strength Assessment
- Home modification suggestions if needed
- Home exercise program prescribed with continued physical therapy for progressions to restore your ideal level of strength and stability
- The exercise program can include resistance training, which is also great for bone health
