Madison Hanson, APRN, CNP
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, I approach care with curiosity, flexibility, and a deep respect for each person’s story—recognizing that great healthcare means more than treating symptoms; it’s about understanding the individual and tailoring care to fit their life, not just their diagnosis. One of the most rewarding aspects of working in family practice is the opportunity to care for patients across the lifespan, from newborns to older adults. This variety keeps each day unique and allows me to continually learn and grow in my role.
Areas of Care
I have a strong interest in preventive health for men, women, and children, urgent care services, and the management of chronic conditions. My goal is to empower patients with the tools and knowledge they need to stay healthy and feel their best—whether through preventive screenings, acute care, or long-term support for chronic illness.
Education
I began my nursing journey at St. Catherine University, earning my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I gained early experience in an inpatient float pool, an outpatient oncology/hematology clinic, and in Utilization Management—roles that provided a strong clinical foundation and a broad perspective on the healthcare system. I completed my Doctor of Nursing Practice at The College of St. Scholastica, where I advanced my clinical skills and deepened my commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care.
Life Outside of Work
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, hunting, gardening, and reading. These activities keep me grounded and recharged, and they reflect my values of balance and connection—both of which I strive to bring into my work with patients.
