As kids prepare to head back to school, August is a child-focused month for national health observances.
This month highlights immunizations and child eye health, which are two great reminders to visit the clinic and eye doctor before school kicks off.

Immunization Month
Is your child current on all of their immunizations? The easiest way to find out is to call our office and ask a nurse to check.
If your child has not completed a well-child visit in the past 12 months, this month can be a great time to schedule, though available appointment times often fill up quickly. Any immunizations your child needs can be completed at the time of the well-child visit.
Child Eye Health Month
Nearly 80 percent of learning is completed through visual activities according to the American Optometric Association. How well your child can see can influence their success in the classroom.
Schedule an eye doctor exam for your child to ensure they have adequate vision, particularly if you observe any changes in their ability to see.
