Heating Pad or Cold Compress?
If you have an injury or are feeling achy, you can use hot or cold compresses to relieve your pain. The general rule of thumb is this: if there is swelling - use ice. Ice reduces swelling by decreasing the blood flow to the injured area. Heat on the other hand, increases blood flow.
